From the Fairfield Homeowners Board Meeting:

Discussion of Homeowners Association Insurance for liability and directors –

The two quotes submitted were from RO Williams $1755.00 with a $500 deductible and Gulf Coast $2490.57 with a $1000 deductible.  Charlie Cox will have RO Williams include a portion that was left out to match up the quotes a bit more.  Motion by Rob to obtain insurance and second by Ken, motion passes. Motion by Rob to obtain insurance from RO Williams due to the deductible, second by Charlie, motion passes.

 

Due to the cost of this insurance dues will need to be raised and the board decided upon $80.00 annual assessment. Per article 5 section 3 dues are allowed to be raised at the board’s discretion only without a vote by the populous.  Per article 5 section 2 for the purpose of insurance. Motion by Rob to obtain insurance and second by Ken, motion passes. Motion by Rob to raise the dues $20.00 per year from $60.00 to $80.00, second by Ken motion passes.

 

Updates-

  • Please check this Website at it will be a main source of updates.  We now have yard signs that will notify you of new posts and meetings.

  • Westchase Crossing has pulled out of the area, but another complex is attempting to gain funding south of Boy’s Haven across Major drive directly in front of Fairfield. (See post below)

  • New Dues to include a tear off portion to send in with dues, mentioning the increase of dues due to the insurance cost.

  • Annual meeting will be at Howells on September 17 at 6:30, with an election of new officers.  If you are interesting in becoming an officer, please attend this meeting.  If you have questions about the various positions please contact the Board President, Rob Jones.

  • Complaints of mail being put in wrong slots, please contact the post office as this is not and HOA issue.

  • Complaints of garbage can being left out.  Please place them in the garage or behind the fence, but not on visible to the street.

  • Yards must be maintained or the city will be called out to mow and will send the bill to the resident.
