You may ask yourselves what more can you do once you have emailed and/or called our Mayor and our City Council Members?  A critical proactive step would be for you to attend the Planning and Zoning meeting once the rezoning, for the tract of land has applied for rezoning and placed on the agenda for public comment. We will notify our residents as soon as we know when it is placed on the agenda in hopes to have a strong representation of those who are in opposition to the rezoning.  Here is a link to the Planning and Zoning schedule:  http://www.cityofbeaumont.com/PDF/PZ.pdf

On Saturday, February 2 at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm, or until finished Fairfield residents will be canvasing our neighborhood to obtain signatures of those residents whom are in opposition to the multi-family rezoning of the properties in the proximity to our neighborhood.  The petition shall read as follows:

We the citizens of Westchase Village, Fairfield, and Barrington Subdivisions as well as
property owners in the immediate area hereby state that we adamantly oppose
the rezoning to multifamily residential on any land on Major Drive
between Delaware and Folsom.  There is already multifamily residential south of
Delaware and north of Folsom.  We are open to GCMD2 (General Comercial Medium Density) with specific use permit.

Thank you,
Fairfield HOA Board
